How do I store my Biltong?
Biltong is known for being a convenient store cupboard snack and is best stored in a cool dry place. Kitchen cupboards, your work drawer and even your gym backpack will do the trick. Best to avoid sunlight, your heater or the oven!
Always check packaging for the best before date. Once opened, consume within 24 hours. Don't worry, you won't BEEF able to stop!
250g Share Bags and 1kg Bulking Bags
Once opened, our 250g bags have a handy zipper which can be closed but our 1kg Bulking bags should be transferred to a brown paper bag or a bowl covered by a tea towel. Products usually last around 3 days if stored correctly. Remember, cool dry places with air flow are best and keep monitoring your biltong.
General facts about storing wet Biltong
If your biltong is really wet, leave it out for some air flow and it will dry out naturally. This is what all those handy natural spices do. This will help increase the shelf life of your biltong.
